Hi Mum Thanks for update - pass on our congrats and love to Nicki, Brett and family & say hello to Lily (nice name!) from us. We look forward to meeting her when we return. We are in Cambodia at the moment - arrived on Monday 15th in Phnom Penh - stayed there for 4 days and have just arrived in Siam Reap today (Thurs 18 May)- 5.5hr drive). Tomorrow we are off to see Ankgor Wat. Cambodia has certainly been an eye opening experience for us both. We have seen a lot of severe poverty (ie) children begging for food and sleeping on the streets. We visited the "killing fields" and Tu Sleung (S-21 Genocide Museum) yesterday, which was a very emotional experience. Although it was disturbing and upsetting, it is good that they have a museums in place so that all the Cambodian people that lost their lives under the Khmer Rouge will be remembered. We will update more in a proper blog entry with photos. Temp here is about 30-33 degreesC. We have started to adjust to the heat now - although everynow& then we still have to go inside an air-conditioned mall to rest.
We are both well and having an amazing time. Send all our love to family. xox EM
